6-04-10

We get cookies, we get cards, we get uplifting notes from family and friends.  Sure makes the tougher days easier.

Status: 8.75/10.  Feeling a little fatigued today.  Guessing it’s related to the chemotherapy that was given with the LP (in the spinal space) yesterday.  Taking a nap every afternoon – not on a schedule, but I start to fade around 2 PM.

Events:  Going to rest this weekend.  Monday we’ll go back to Hopkins for what is called the “recovery” bone marrow.  They look  at the marrow for the first time since the one immediately before treatment (a proliferation of leukemic cells and a dirth of the precursors of  red cells, normal white cells, and platelets).  What they hope to see is just the opposite now.

Comments:  It’s too late in the day to tell the full story about the patient transportation system at Hopkins – but it ain’t pretty.  I’ll share it with you this weekend.

I hope your weekend will be restful as well.

Love,

-Bruce

Glad you’re home and doing well – just finished 2 weeks in ER as senior internist – fun to supervise my little nestlings!
Praying you’ll have a good marrow on Mon (?BMT in future). It’s Mary and my 35th that day as well and you and Lisa will surely get there together!
