6-12-10

Status: 9.0/10.  Restful day.  Appetite is good and most of my taste buds have come back (waiting for the time dill pickles aren’t quite as exciting).  Going to try to up my exercise this next week and get some muscle back.

Events:  Nice having my Mom here for a few days.  Hope it was restful for her as well since she’s my Dad’s prime caregiver.

 Love,

-Bruce

a great quote that seems to fit the situation…..”WHEN RUNNING UP A HILL, IT IS ALL RIGHT TO GIVE UP AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WISH, AS LONG AS YOUR FEET KEEP MOVING.” SHAMA MORITA M.D

Remember to look for the rainbow (it’s a magical and spiritual sign) and keep your eyes out for the pot of gold…it’s there.

Finally, I made the time to check into your blog again, Bruce — sitting in the St. Louis airport, awaiting a flight to Dallas. SO good to see you are home and taking care of yourself — with the help of many others! That’s wonderful news.
Last night, our son, Rick, was married here in St. Louis — great fun to have all of our siblings/spouses with us for the big event. Jill and David Stewart came from Chicago — so special of them. Even ‘midst heavy rains (the ceremony was SUPPOSED to be outdoors), the wedding ceremony was very special. As I said when toasting them, “the stars were aligned to bring them together…Rick who came from South Korea when he was two years old and Shelley who came from Panama at age two months — a world apart, and somehow, they found each other!
