Events:  Here in Seattle.  (If we didn’t know, the overcast skies and airport announcements first in English and then in Japanese would have given it away. )

The five hour flight and time zone changes are a little stessful, but we’ll be all set for our consultation tomorrow – good to get other expert thoughts on all the aspects of a transplant.  Back home Friday.

So glad you are there safe and sound, stay that way. Never been there but DG loved his visits there.

Glad to hear about the match. Just so happens Judie will be in Seattle this afternoon, beginning her northern tier transcontinental. I’m sure you’ll be picking up her positive vibes. I know what it entails, but not how hard it will be, and just know we’re with you all the way.

I hope at least you can enjoy the weather and have an appetite to enjoy the food. What a journey. Your medical journalism is wonderful–I would expect nothing less. Spent some time this afternoon listening to a WH call to people in the Gulf Coast area about the new $20 B fund PB is setting up. It sounds like the WH staff is lively, and working hard. There are a million questions for them. Such as “Where can we get more translators for training and assisting in claims.” They need Spanish, French, Laotian, Cambodian, and Vietnamese. I am working with the U. of Mississippi Med. Center on health statements and leave Monday for a conference in New Orleans on the health issues involved in the oil spill situation. All my best wishes.
